INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Leadership Rhode Island meets specific office needs by engaging student interns for staff and committee support as well as project work. The internship program is a mutually beneficial experience to the intern as well as the organization.

Leadership Rhode Island has specific office needs and we seek to engage student for office support and project work. Although there is no monetary compensation, we are dedicated to helping interns enhance their skills, particularly in areas that interest them. We hope the experience is enriching for students, and, fulfilling satisfactory performance, we will serve as references or provide a letter of recommendation. Alternatively, the time spent at Leadership Rhode Island may be used to fulfill community service requirements and we agree to provide documentation to that effect.

Job Title: Intern, Office Support

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A primary function of all volunteer positions is to provide office support by developing or maintaining organization systems and performing related office duties.

Description of Work:

Office Support
• Inputting Word Data
• Photocopy projects
• Creating and maintaining files
• Maintain the look and neat space of the office common areas and files
• Assist with any large mailing projects

Basic Knowledge and Qualification Requirements:

1. Organizational skills
2. High degree of professionalism
3. High attention to detail will be important
4. Willingness to learn
5. Computer skills
6. Volunteer and computer experience necessary

Hours for this internship are flexible, to be determined by intern in conjunction with staff. Dress code is business casual.
