Support to Leadership Rhode Island is extremely powerful.  Choosing to support Leadership Rhode Island means you are recognizing and addressing the need for systematic change.  Rather than supporting one cause or issue, you know that as a community we must build the capacity of our leaders - in every sector - in order to meet our challenges.

Employee Sponsorship & Volunteerism

Many of LRI's major funders and supporters begin as employer sponsors.  These are organizations who give their employees the time off, and usually the funding, to participate in the LRI Core Program.  Over 500 organizations in Rhode Island have been employer sponsors, and the benefits of the employee's interaction in the community and new perspectives are incalculable.  The program develops the organizational, leadership and problem solving skills of its participants.  In addition, it offers new insights into the community, helping participants identify where strategic alliances might be forged and providing organizations unique perspectives on the behind-the-scenes workings of our state.

Graduation from the class signifies the beginning of a lifetime opportunity as a member of Leadership Rhode Island's alumni network.  Alumni are trustees of our community and state, and continue to participate in constructive community change.  Graduates can make a direct impact by becoming involved in hands-on community activities, as well as by supporting the work of Leadership Rhode Island.  Employer sponsors can continue to help by recognizing Leadership Rhode Island as a community partner and organization whose employees invest significant volunteer time and expertise.

In Kind Donations

Leadership Rhode Island seeks in kind donations to meet special needs, including physical equipment, technology, and services such as printing.  Please speak to Mike Ritz about donating a good or service in kind.  Be sure to provide a statement of value, so that we can record and acknowledge your donation appropriately.

Corporate Sponsorships

Leadership Rhode Island seeks sponsors for each Core Program session, as well as a number of alumni events held each year.  LRI's 25th Anniversary in 2006 presents many additional sponsorship opportunities. Not only are LRI events, scholarships and sessions wise philanthropic investments, they can convey a powerful message about your company to your corporate peers.  The audience and guests at LRI events are the decision-makers at small and large businesses, as well as non-profit and government agencies.

Individual Contributions

Like any non-profit organization, LRI relies significantly on individual gifts and philanthropy to help underwrite the cost of running multiple programs.
